U.S. Quantum Information Science School

The U.S. Quantum Information Science School (USQIS) was founded and developed by the five centers to provide students and professionals with accessible opportunities to learn about quantum information science, technology, and engineering. It is the largest U.S. school dedicated to such learning, emphasizing hands-on and laboratory experiences at DOE national laboratories.

Programs are available to graduate and undergraduate students as well as professionals from national labs and industry. Courses are taught by expert instructors from the five centers’ ecosystem, with backgrounds from academia, industry and national labs, who lead lectures and in-lab learning. The lab and center hosting the school determine specific focus areas of study.

2024

The second edition of the USQIS was led by the Quantum Science Center and hosted at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
